We are often faced with distinct crossroads in our life. How we look at the choices and how we look at our challenges during that period of determination will often dictate how we make our decision of which road to take.

Lest one think otherwise, the challenges we face are given to us because we are capable of overcoming them. We are presented with choices everyday of our life. These choices are not bound by anything other than our inability to understand that the challenges are there to strengthen us, not weaken us. If we could adopt this way of understanding and this way of living our life, imagine the peace we could have not only amongst ourselves but within oneself.

These are lessons that our Parents should have instilled in us from a young age. A child cannot help but feel overcome with the pressures surrounding them because they have never been given the tools to understand that we are only given challenges that can be overcome. Imagine the strength of character as well as confidence a child could develop, if they knew that every challenge, every obstacle, every hurdle was unique to them because together with these, they have also been given the innate ability and remedy to overcome the challenges, obstacles and hurdles.

As we grow from baby to child and from child to adult, we are presented with greater challenges and more difficult obstacles. We face more crossroads in our life, decisions that will impact our life, and often, we feel lost in our ability to make the right decisions. But imagine this...Imagine Sarah learned early on in her life, I mean from the time of childhood that every one of her challenges will be overcome. Imagine that it was instilled from the time Sarah was a baby that, within her, together with that challenge or hurdle she was also given the ability to overcome that unique obstacle and in fact, she was only presented with this unique challenge because she can overcome it.

Now fast-forward 18 or 20 years and imagine... the strength of character Sarah will undoubtedly have developed, the confidence in which she is able to address the smallest to the most significant challenges she faces every day of her life, knowing that deep inside her lies the answer to every one of these obstacles. Regardless of what confronts her, she will be living a fulfilled life, a happy life and a life ready for anything...

I learned this later on in my life as I continued to grow spiritually. My children, the oldest of which is 9 years old and the youngest 2 years old have had this instilled in their way of life from the time they faced their first obstacles as toddlers (i.e. walking, talking, potty training, etc.) to their on going challenges as pre-teens (homework, respect, etc.). Of course, the development of children is a factor of many things, but I have to continue to do my part and put in my efforts, together with my husband to give them a chance for spiritual and motivational success.

"The world stands on the strength of our children". Someone much greater and wiser than I proclaimed this truth. And if we can take this to heart, I believe we will guide our children to better and more fulfilled lives.
